Area 1: Current Permanent On-Board dual status technicians employed with the SC Air National Guard. (Does not include temporary and Indefinite technicians).

Area 2: Current military members of the SC Air National Guard.

Area 3: Current nationwide Air National Guard military members, AF Reserve military members, and RegAF. (Must be willing to transfer to the SC Air National Guard).

Area 4: US citizens eligible for immediate membership in the SC Air National Guard.

This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Aircraft Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Weapons Element. The primary purpose of this position is to lead subordinates in the performance of aircraft ordnance work and electronic work that consist of complex electronic and aircraft ordnance systems maintenance.

* This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

* Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

* Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

* Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

* Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

* For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training that has provided the candidate with sufficient knowledge to complete the work of this occupational series. Experience or training which demonstrates the candidates ability to lead other technicians engaged in the duties performed by this occupational series.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must have at least 24 months of experiences which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series. Must have the ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment. The ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military skill set is determined by AFSC requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC.
