Department Secretary - Full Time - Day

* Types/transcribes, proofreads, and edits correspondence, reports, minutes forms, etc.= drafts routine correspondence and forms for approval; distributes as required.

* Answers telephone; screens and directs calls, takes and relays messages.

* Picks up and sorts mail.

* Greets and directs visitors.

* Establishes and maintains files, updates department manuals.

* Schedules meetings/appointments; prepares materials; types agendas; makes arrangements for meeting location, refreshments, and audio-visual equipment as required.

* Prepares invoices and disbursements; prepares monthly reports, processes departmental paper work.

* Functions as scheduling secretary as required.

* Collects and assembles data; performs basic mathematical calculations; assists supervisor with budget.

* Strives to achieve excellence of service as described in the CARE Manual.

* Responds to the following Shore Health System codes: Code Red (in the immediate area), Code Pink (if called), Code D (if called).

* Responsible for honest behavior in all matters. To the best of the employee's knowledge and understanding, complies with all Federal and State laws and regulations.

* Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Uses and discloses only that information which is necessary to perform the function of the job.

* Performs related duties as assigned.

What You Need to Be Successful:

* High school diploma or equivalency.

* Minimum of one year of secretarial experience or training.

* Demonstrated ability to type 45 wpm accurately on word processing equipment.

* Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
