UX Designer, AWS Documentation CX

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented and passionate user experience designer to join our growing design and research team. Throughout the strategy, design, and development lifecycle, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team of designers, researchers, product managers, engineers and executives in a highly visible role interfacing directly with AWS customers.
The Documentation CX team designs for some of the broadest and most influential parts of the AWS experience—from helping customers understand cloud concepts to interactive and visual experiences so that they can master AWS products. We are working hard to make our platform more accessible and easier to use for our customers, in addition to taking a more editorial and educational approach to how customers learn about AWS.
The ideal candidate has experience in designing engaging content experiences, strong visual design skills and an understanding of information architecture. We’re seeking someone who can take a user-centered approach for innovative projects to re-imagine how our customers discover interact with learning materials.

· 4+ years of experience in UX design or related discipline.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
· Experience in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
· Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.
· Experience with editorial or learning content design.
· Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
· Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
· Proficiency and strengths in areas of interaction and visual design
