The Assistant Director of Plant Operations is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the Plant Engineering and Biomedical Engineering departments and for the ongoing assessment and improvement of all services. Responsibilities encompass not only the internal functioning of these facilities services but also the integration of these services into the overall functioning of Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center.


EXPERIENCE: 5 years of previous hospital engineering management experience. Previous project management experience. Experience or working knowledge in all aspects of building trades, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION, ETC.: Holds current Certified Healthcare Facility Manager certification or has the ability to obtain within one year. Holds valid driver's license.

Intermediate level computer experience. Including Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Building Management Systems. Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSHA, EPA and state and local codes and standards.

EDUCATION: Minimum of High School Diploma and degree or certification in a technical trade or field related to facility maintenance and engineering. Associates degree in related filed is preferred.
