How Will You Make an Impact?

The Discoverant Development Manager will be a key part of the technical staff supporting Biovia's Discoverant Software system. Discoverant is a global network application enabling the Continued Process Verification (CPV) program, investigation analysis, continuous improvement, operational dashboarding, process monitoring, and other operational functions. As a first priority, the Discoverant Development Manager will work with Thermo Fisher's Discoverant Global Rollout Team in support of the CPV program. CPV focuses on driving quality excellence, ensuring stability and control of processes and products, and meeting global regulatory requirements. The Discoverant system provides data aggregation from site and global source systems, data analysis, and reporting capability for the CPV process.

What will you do?

* Work with the global team and the manufacturing sites to design, develop, and implement Discoverant hierarchies across the manufacturing network.

* Support technical staff through the Discoverant implementation rollout at global manufacturing sites.

* Understand and use knowledge of systems and technologies in the manufacturing network that are directly and indirectly related to Discoverant to ensure the global Discoverant implementation is effective in its function and is leveraged for best impact.

* Serve as the Discoverant system expert and develop best practices and make recommendations for best impact.

* May make recommendations and initiatives for additional third-party work, connectivity to other manufacturing, lab, and business systems, and establishing relevant tools, guidelines, and systems when needed.

* Provide knowledge and direction for developing skills, training, and materials for Discoverant.

* Work closely with other corporate functions and sites on initiatives or efforts related to Discoverant (ex: Global Process Validation, Automation, Quality, Continuous Process Verification leaders, Operational Excellence, others).

How will you get there?


* Bachelor's degree in computer systems, engineering, biotechnology or similar field.


* Eight years relevant business experience

* Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and leadership capabilities.

* Ability to work with global teams and different functions and levels effectively.

* Working knowledge of basic statistics and be versed in Discoverant statistical analysis functions to provide support for best impact.

* Specific design, development, and implementation experience with both Discoverant and PRIMR of 5+ years including global implementations, multiple sites, and experience developing Hierarchies, system configuration, and system validation.

* Working, technical knowledge of Discoverant hierarchy and PRIMR design, development, implementation, and validation.

* Technical knowledge of manufacturing and lab data source system connectivity to Discoverant including SAP, SQL, and Oracle based applications.

* Discoverant dashboard monitoring development experience.

* Demonstrated performance in software system implementations at site, multisite, and international level. Good problem solving and project management skills.

* Ability to communicate in technical terms as well as communicating business / operational understanding and language.

* Experience providing system support to ensure strong system functionality and performance for impact on the business (quality and operations).

* Proficient knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements, computer system validation, and data integrity.

* Effectively present technical information to business and technical audiences at different levels of the organization.

* Strong knowledge of technical systems in a Pharmaceutical process and equipment environment.

* Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical business processes and equipment.
