Director of Sales Operations and Proposals

The Director of Sales Operations& Proposals will support the Sales organization by ensuring all sales policiesare being adhered to. This includes the standardproduct pricing, quotations, proposals, CRM data input and dashboards, automationtools and Sales Policy Manual. Specific focus will be on proposalmanagement. This individual manages proposalresources, the development of proposals, and coach capture teams and proposalteams on pre-proposal and proposal methodologies/processes. proposal resourcesincluding proposal managers and proposal coordination, desktop publishing, andgraphics personnel. This includes establishing performance goals, providingperformance feedback on at least a quarterly basis, providing guidance andcoaching on proposal management and support responsibilities, managing andresolving workload conflicts, and addressing workforce relations issues.

Essential Functions:

* Responsible for coordination of lookand feel of all quotation and cataloging across the Business Units

* Oversees the CRM and ensures thesales teams are entering the appropriate data.

* Creates CRM dashboards

* Helps to forecast sales

* Oversees Standard Product Price book

* Investigates new tools to increaseproductivity

* Proposal Management

* Responsible for coordinating and managing functionalresources assigned to the proposal and on-time submittal of 100% compliant,compelling proposals.

* Partners with Capture Manager to integrate the win strategyand solution into a proposal structured for compliance with proposalrequirements and ease of evaluation.

* Participates in the development and review of proposalstrategies, discriminators, and win themes.

* Based on the solicitation instructions and evaluationcriteria, creates the proposal outline, , and uses it to track progress andcompliance.

* Cross references the proposal outline to the solicitationrequirements and tracks responsiveness to all requirements.

* Develops the proposal schedule and executes the proposal developmentin accordance with the Plan.

* Reviews proposal drafts to ensure compliance with allsolicitation instructions.

* Conducts regular (and brief) proposal progress meetings andtracks completion of action items.

* Directs writing/editing/rewriting efforts and works with theVolume Leaders to ensure inter-volume compatibility.

* Develops and executes the proposal review plan (e.g., PinkTeam, Red Team, Gold Team), along with the review team lead, for interim andfinal reviews of all proposal volumes.

* Ensures that review comments are dispositioned and incorporatedas appropriate into the proposal.

* Provides direction/guidance/integration for proposal layoutand production.

* Ensures that proposal files and associated documents areproperly maintained in proposal team site.

Supervisory Responsibility:

* Manage proposal teams in a highstress, fast-paced environment.

* Manage people, including completingperformance evaluations and making pay increase recommendations.


Limited travel is required.

Education andExperience:

* Bachelor's Degree; Business,English, or Journalism preferred.

* APMP certifications a plus.

* 7 -10 years relevant professionalexperience in government consulting.

* At least 5 years of experience indevelopment, management, and writing of Federal Government, preferably DOD, proposals.

* Understanding of, and experiencewith, the Federal procurement process and regulations.

* Working knowledge of MS Officebusiness applications, SharePoint and collaborative work spaces.

* Clearance Requirement: Active SECRETclearance is desired.
