  • Develop curriculum and policy and procedures to ensure programming is physically and emotionally safe.
  • Create, organize and facilitate a monthly schedule for adventure based and wellness activities and groups.
  • Develop and monitor a system to track attendance, participation and progress in groups.
  • Facilitate team building training for staff and clients
  • Develop wellness care plans
  • Supervise interns and volunteers as assigned.
  • Prepare required documentation and reports.
  • Performs all other duties assigned.
  • Assist in the development and
    deliver ropes course programs that are appropriate for the age and ability of
    the guests, primarily in the roles of ropes course facilitator
  • Ensure that staff and guests know
    and adhere to safety guidelines and educational procedures of the ropes course
  • Assist in the management,
    inspection and care of the physical high and low ropes course facilities and
    equipment in the ropes course area
  • Participate as a member of the
    staff team to deliver and supervise programs, special events and other
    activities and functions
  • Assist in the planning and
    delivery of any special events
  • Experience in setting up,
    inspecting and maintaining ropes course equipment and elements, including
    annual inspections
  • A repertoire of cooperative games
    and problem-solving initiatives
  • Must be able to instruct
    participants on proper use of equipment and structures
  • Uses good judgment while making
    independent decisions regarding all facets of the safe and effective use of the
    course
  • Bachelor’s Degree, BA/BS required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Training and experience in Adventure Based Counseling (Project Adventure) high and low ropes course and ABC programming required
  • Knowledge and experience in wellness programming preferred.
  • Prior experience with behavioral health population preferred.
  • Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program.
  • Current First Aid and CPR
    Certification
  • ACCT Level 1 Certification &
    Facilitation Portfolio (or equivalent)
