Job Description

Treasury's City Tax Administration is looking for a confident, approachable, and determined individual to supervise approximately ten employees. These employees are responsible for contact center activities including determining the accuracy of tax returns administered under the City Income Tax Act. This includes all return processing and telephone contact functions for the area.

Supervisory experience is desirable since you will be assigning work to staff, setting priorities, and directing work. The area is also dedicated to engaging employees while fostering growth and providing learning and development opportunities. Knowledge of tax laws and experience using software applications such as SAP are a plus.

You would be joining approximately 90 employees in the Special Taxes Division, which is one of three divisions within the Tax Processing Bureau. The Tax Processing Bureau includes the following divisions:

Special Taxes

Individual Income Taxes

Business Taxes

Required Education and Experience

Education

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

Experience

Four years of office experience involving administrative support office practices, including two years equivalent to an E7-level administrative support worker.
