Human Resource Manager

Our client in Wodonga in a major local employer and leading exporter of high quality products.

They are now accepting expressions of interest for a Full Time Human Resource Manager.



To be successful in this role you will have fantastic written and verbal communication skills, vast HR experience dealing with large employers, in-depth dealings with WHS and great strategic business acumen in these areas.



Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing support to direct employees, subcontractors and management, ensuring that all practice principles are followed

  • Provide timely and accurate WHS advice and hands-on support to operations

  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure they are adhering to WHS compliance

  • Implementing and monitoring WHS Management Systems

  • Ensure all WHS documents are maintained and filed in accordance with the company's filing requirements

  • As required, assisting in incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are consistently implemented

  • Support all matters relating to Work Health and Safety, Training and Environmental Standards.

  • Undertake workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe and unhealthy workplace conditions and practices

  • Assist the project team in obtaining and auditing subcontractors WHS documentation

  • Maintain and improve the companies business management and quality polices, plans and accreditations

  • Recruitment of new Employees to meet companies demands

  • Onboarding of new starters

  • Maintain all staff records, Audit Personal & Annual Leave, ensuring compliance

  • Work to ensure company procedures and legislative standards are adhered to


Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Formal qualifications in OHS, HR and Environmental discipline (Certificate IV/Diploma or above)

  • An understanding of Business Strategy around WHS and Workers Compensation

  • Knowledge of technical WHS
