BI Consulting Lead

As a Lead Analytics Consultant, known in CDK as an Analytics Managing Lead, you will work as a team member on CDK's Agency team, exchanging knowledge and delivering customized insights to customers that inform business and media decisions. You will accomplish department and client objectives by managing a staff of 4-8 direct reports through the coordination of workload, efforts, and priority setting directly with the client. You will work onsite with the Client, along with the CDK Agency Team to present integrated, data-driven business opportunities based on internal and external tools analysis. You will also work with Account Management and Account Executives to identify business opportunities (i.e. program expansion, improved account structure, data enhancements).

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Have extensive experience directly managing a team of Web/Digital Program Analysts (CDK Digital BI Consultants)

* Have exceptional client management and strategic and tactical consultation experience, building actionable, data-driven analytics and optimization solutions across multiple platforms and channels

* Have strong experience analyzing website and digital marketing performance, integrating multiple quantitative and qualitative data sources and reconciling conflicts

* Have excellent communication and relationship building skills from stakeholders up to executive level

* Ability to define and solve ambiguous problems by using available data and making reasonable assumptions

* Measure and monetize financial gains from optimization projects and to prioritize projects based on ROI impact

* Have experience with data management, industry analytics tools, presentation skills and project management

Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of Digital BI Consultants (Program Level Analysts) and their associated queue of external customer specific requests. Provide leadership and guidance to a team devoted to answering those requests.

* Partner with Account Executives and Media Strategy Managers to incorporate insights into presentation narratives.

* Coordinate directly with other Analytics Managing Leads to develop best practice strategies and staffing models to support evolving client needs

* Build deep client relationships using insights and quantified impact to improve their business.

* Advise clients and agencies on best practices for marketing analytics, measurement and attribution. Help customers navigate industry best practices and alternatives.

* Define measurement strategy for clients; identifying data requirements to support measurement strategy/framework, defining KPI's based on business / marketing objectives.

* Lead the creation of reports, dashboards and other forms of information designed to gain new insights, monitor key organizational and operational measures, and provide visibility throughout the organization and to our customers of our performance.

* Serve as an internal escalation point for data-related issues. Perform research and analysis as required to determine plans of action and next steps.

* Communicate analysis findings and recommendations both strategic and tactical to colleagues, stakeholders, and CDK leadership in a clear, concise, and influential manner.

Qualifications:

Work Experience:

* 5-7 years of work experience analyzing data for digital advertising and marketing, web analytics, or business intelligence.

* 3-4 years of direct external Client/Customer (i.e. Agency) experience – proven record in leading client relationships, identifying opportunities for optimization through customer insights, and an aptitude to turn these into viable products

* 3-4 years of direct report and team management experience

* Web analytics and Digital media/marketing strategy experience is a plus

Desired Skills:

* Experience with performance management, recruiting, development & governance of standards, coaching and mentoring.

* Strong knowledge of at least several areas of the online Marketing Services domain, including Web Analytics, Digital Marketing, SEO, SEM, Display, and Email Marketing.

* Proven track record of defining, executing key analyses, and sharing results for digital data including website metrics and online advertising performance

* Proven Experience of implementing/running Analytics projects, including the ability to summarize this complex technical information via graphics and written analysis.

* Ability to work independently, multi-task, and drive issues to resolution in a rapidly moving technology environment.

* Excellent verbal, written communication, and data presentation skills

* Experience with analytics and testing tools such as Omniture, Test&Target, and Google Analytics

* A BA/BS in a business or technical field; an MS in a technical field or an MBA a major plus. College and graduate degrees in qualitative and/or quantitative sciences, including the behavioral sciences, behavioral economics, statistics, math and/or business also a major plus
