The Detroit Regional Chamber is hiring a full time Account Manager, Advertising and Sponsorship to work in our downtown Detroit location. Account Manager, Advertising and Sponsorship Qualifications:

Must possess excellent organizational, verbal communication, and customer service skills. A minimum of one year outside sales experience, plus a 4-year degree are required. Able to work with business professionals, as well as in cross-functional teams; manage multiple projects efficiently and accurately with self-motivation and initiative; work within specified deadlines. Strong computer (word processing, spreadsheet and database software) and organizational skills. Ability to travel locally as necessary, as well as, attend Chamber events that may take place early morning or after normal business hours.

Account Manager, Advertising and Sponsorship Responsibilities:

SALES: Meet annual monthly, quarterly & annual sales goals (as detailed in the Marketing Opportunities Annual Budget) by actively soliciting regional businesses to use the Detroit Regional Chamber's publications, sponsorship opportunities and other products to promote their organization's products and/or services. Weekly average call volume of 100 telephone calls, 5 written proposals, and 2 formal presentations. Supporting the overall goals and mission of the Marketing Opportunities team, as well as overall organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

SERVICE: Maintain strategies and practices for the purposes of providing the highest level of service, relationship building and member/ client retention; manage member/ client accounts; attend meetings, programs and events, both internal and external (as assigned); ensure the integrity of the database through efficient, clear and conscientious information collection and expression of all prospect and member contact; assist in all forms of member contact & communication (as assigned); coordinate & implement all team, departmental and organizational initiatives in an efficient and timely manner; working cross-functionally to the Chamber and its mission; managing personal expenditures, client contracts and invoices; manage the collection of member/ client artwork and copy through to contract fulfillment; insure the tracking of fulfillment of benefits associated with advertising and sponsorship packages sold to your "Book of Business."

The Account Manager, Advertising and Sponsorship actively solicits regional businesses and associations to invest in Detroit Regional Chamber's publications, sponsorship opportunities and other products to promote their organization's products and/or services.
