Essential Functions and Objectives:

The Hourly Teacher teaches diverse students grade level standards based curriculum for the content area specified. Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement. Monitors, supervises, coordinates and enforces rules of conduct and behavior of assigned students and reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy. Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.

Knowledge, Experience, Other Qualifications:

Must possess a current Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with endorsement in specified subject area.

Physical Education Job Description:

Teaches physical education to diverse students with various developmental learning stages, following DPS Physical Education content standards. Plans fitness related activities, including dance, and demonstrate related skills. Coordinates and implements both individual and team sports with emphasis on skill development.
