We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer/Technical Trainer to join our Learning Services team and be willing to work out of our Colorado Springs office 2-3 days a week.

As an Instructional Designer and Technical Trainer, you will develop and deliver engaging Cherwell training for partners, employees and customers in live, virtual, instructor-led, and/or video formats.

What You'll Do

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge in technical instructional design, adult learning theory, best practices for training, and a desire for continuous improvement in the training process. Strong technical training skills are essential. The Instructor in Learning Services must be a results-driven, high energy team player, and show initiative. Essential to this role is an individual with strong communication, both written and verbal, loads of energy and enthusiasm, and a strong technical background . Experience with Skype, Adobe Connect Classrooms, and WebEx will enable you to virtually present information as you closely collaborate with partners, employees, and customers in all theaters, on a global scale. Expertise in Cherwell Service Management products would be a definite plus.

What You Should Have

* Bachelor's Degree

* 5+ years of instructional design

* 5+ years' experience developing and delivering technical training to technical audiences

* 5+ years of consulting or customer service experience

* Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

* Experience delivering classroom instructor-led training as well as virtual training

* Ability to focus on course instruction and designing labs, activities and general training curriculum

* Showcase presentation skills by developing and presenting a 20-minute course segment

* Up to 25% travel required

* Live in or willing to relocate to Colorado Springs area

Nice to Have

* 5+ years of IT Service Management experience

* Experience with Cherwell Service Management products

* Excellent attention to detail and concern for quality

* Team player who values interactions and collaborative partnerships

* A conceptual thinker who proactively solves problems and makes common sense decisions

* Willingness to take personal accountability for deliverables

* Understand the importance of following processes, policies and templates, and regularly reporting status

* Excellent at evaluating existing content whether it is an interview, a PowerPoint deck, a video, a manual, or notes from a meeting. Can organize it into easily digested learning materials and create creative and visually appealing interactions

* Goal and outcome focused and unwilling to give up if/when it becomes difficult to keep moving forward on a project
