Key Account Manager assures that GCR's strategies, sales, and profitability objectives are achieved. The Key Account Manager will provide leadership, and support to the field teams assigned to the account. This individual will work to develop GCR's coverage and capabilities to supply current and future offerings to all Key Accounts. They will work closely with the MMs, DSMs and Account Managers to ensure compliance and a consistent offering to the BOSS.GCR is one of the nation's largest full-service Tire & Service companies. Our extensive network of tire stores provides greater availability for customers to purchase tires and related services. GCR Tires & Service is a division of Bridgestone America's Tire Operations (BATO), providing outstanding service from well over 200 locations in 48 US States and Eastern Canada. GCR Tires & Service has the right mix of service, new tire and re-tread knowledge to ensure the ongoing success of our customers. Most of our locations also offer 24-hour roadside assistance. We offer a wide variety of passenger, light truck, medium truck, agricultural, industrial and off the road tires from brands such as Bridgestone, Firestone, and many more.

  • Responsible to provide leadership and direction to the Account Managers, CSRs and Store Personnel in support of Customer Service Level Agreements, expectations, and initiatives.
  • Responsible for growth and development of assigned Customers base.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of departmental budgets
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge to support GCR processes
  • Contribute as a team member both within sales and cross-functionally throughout the company
  • Responsible for maintenance and growth of GCR market share
  • Responsible for managing proper travel, customer expense, and overall efficient use of time and expenses.
  • Stay abreast of current market trends/activities – analyze data and identify new distribution opportunities
  • Participate in the development of sales goals/objectives and forecasts
  • Responsible for effective communication within sales and other GCR departments as well as Field Management.
  • Supports and leads all market team efforts and recommends changes as required
  • Responsible for the effective implementation of GCR processes and the effective use of sales management tools – SalesForce.com, I-pad, etc.
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 to 5 years field sales, sales management is required. Relevant and/or equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Mechanical aptitude or technical ability preferred, but not required.
  • Basic truck tire and/or maintenance experience desired.
  • Proficiency in second language a plus.
