The Framing Specialist's responsibility first and foremost is to deliver a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity within our customers and making JOANN their happy place! All Team Members strive to drive sales through advanced product knowledge, innovative merchandising, cutting counter accuracy and an enthusiastic attitude. This team member is responsible for driving sales and profitable operation of the custom framing department through the use of exceptional customer service, creative ability, and execution of an effective work flow. The Framing Specialist will also embody the characteristics that tie back to the duties of Brand Ambassador, Operational Excellence, Business Acumen and Inspirational Leader.


* Greets every JOANN customer and uses the F.A.S.T. service model to meet the customer's needs

* Asks open-ended questions to learn about customers' project needs and escorts them to the desired product's location

* Engages in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor


* Collaborates with customers to design and create a custom frame for their pictures using

* Responsible for the overall frame shop including customer facing sales floor shop appearance, planogram integrity, signage, and promotional displays

* Stocks and organizes merchandise within the framing department to ensure high store standards are kept


* Act as subject matter expert on custom framing trends, best practices, design, profitability management, order flow and customer interaction

* Reviews P&L reports with store management to identify areas of opportunity within the framing department


* Trains associates working within the framing space including: customer engagement, product assortment, design, measurement, order taking and processing, order finishing

* Assists team members in other areas to ensure overall success of the team and the store


* Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent

* 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer centric environment

* Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
