Responsibilities

You will:

* Provide full range of travel, time and attendance services to Region 8 management and staff in accordance with prescribed Agency policy directives and federal statues.

* Conduct research to evaluate issues of concern to the financial, travel and management programs in the Region.

* Serve as a customer liaison to the Office of Chief Financial Officer's Payroll and Travel management operations.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - You may be required to travel at least 1 to 5 days per month.

Qualifications

You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:

To qualify for the GS-12 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-11 level defined as: Experience with federal travel polices and procedures, and time and attendance policies; knowledgeable on various systems and softwares, such as Peopleplus, Gov Trip, Microsoft Word, and financial/payroll systems, etc., and communicating with senior management, staff, and customers.

Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:

* Knowledge of federal travel, pay and leave rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

* Ability to interpret and apply federal laws and regulations governing travel, and time and attendance.

* Skill in utilizing time and travel systems to input necessary actions and customers.

* Ability to communicate orally to resolve problems and to obtain information required to perform assigned duties.

* Knowledge of the Agency's mission, functions, policies, goals, objectives, work processes and sources of funding.

* Skill in utilizing government financial systems to address customer inquiries.

* Ability to evaluate administrative and management issues and problems in order to ascertain the most efficient resolution and opportunities for improvement.
