We are seeking a well rounded individual with an interest in technology who possesses strong communication and project management skills to join the Business Continuity team. The growing IT staff works in a highly collaborative environment with a strong focus to continue to support FirstBank's commitment to our customers and employees.

The Business Continuity Coordinator II is responsible for developing, supporting and implementing corporate wide efforts in all business continuity and disaster recover activities. The individual will lead coordination during any actual or simulated disaster recovery effort and be responsible for coordinating response with the Bank’s stakeholders. The individual will also work closely with management and information technology teams to support the information security governance, risk and compliance program while also being a leading role in incident management and incident coordination. The role also will directly assist in response, communication, and documentation of IT outages impacting business operations.

The ideal candidate must be well-rounded with proven business continuity management expertise along with strong communication and project management skills. They should be comfortable working independently and able to accommodate on call responsibilities.

* Develop and maintain corporate business continuity plans

* Coordinate and document incident response in business continuity and disaster recovery events

* Assist in response, communication, and documentation for IT outages impacting the business

* Coordinate, conduct, and document tests of company plans and back-up systems

* Identify threats to business operations and present relevant information to management

* Provide assistance to bank personnel during incidents •Design and implement risk assessments

* Coordinate periodic updates to company risk assessments •Gather documentation for external technology-related audits and exam requests

* Perform other duties and projects as assigned

* Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience

* A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 7 years may be considered in lieu of a degree


* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communication, Project Management or Crisis/Emergency Management preferred


* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Good computer skills including of Microsoft Office

* Ability to work with minimal guidance and direction •An interest and aptitude to learn about business continuity and risk management

* Good understanding of FirstBank processes

* Previous IT experience is not required, training will be provided


Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and light to heavy traffic. An individual in this position:

* Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day

* Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

* Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms

* Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights

* Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files

* Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone

* Must be able to exchange accurate information
