Summary Objective:

This position works within the Accounting Department of The Martino Group, which manages accounting functions for multiple real estate and investment entities.

Essential Functions:

  • Corporate Accounting including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, billbacks and reconciliation, cash management, and journal entries
  • Payroll processing, posting and billbacks
  • Completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and billbacks
  • Managing the daily positive pay process for multiple bank accounts. This includes uploading the daily check registers, analyzing the daily positive pay exceptions, and determining to accept or reject the daily positive pay exceptions.
  • Assisting with the year-end 1099 process and reporting
  • Assisting with year-end tax return and property tax tracking
  • Some administrative duties such as filing and scanning
  • Assist the Accounting Department with other accounting duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a largely sedentary role, however some filing is required. This would require the ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The employee is regularly required to:

  • Talk and hear.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, 40 hours or more per week. Hours of Operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Payroll experience
  • Corporate accounting experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Yardi software
  • Knowledge of Paylocity
