The Firestone Building Products, DeForest WI plant is looking for one 2nd shift Production Line Driver/Material Handler and Warehouse Forklift Driver to join our team! Hours are Monday – Friday 11:30am-8:00pm approximately during our slower season (roughly December to May) and approximately Monday thru Friday 4pm-3am the remainder of the year, weekend work may be required at times and scheduling is subject to change based on business demands.
A successful Production Line Driver/Material Handler will:
Complete a forklift inspection checklist at the beginning of each shift, prior to use.
Prepare and handle packaging requirements including bags, stretch wrap, adhesive, labeling requirements, supply of slats (feet) and warehouse storage location.
Perform piece counts, labeling, visual quality, and warehouse storage.
Receives product from the laminator upon start-up.
Process startup material as recycle or waste.
Ensures all equipment is ready for operation, such as: cross cut saws, side saws, stacking guide, dust collector, baler, perforator, etc.
Ensures all packaging materials are ready for production, such as: bundle labels, stretch wrap, ink, etc.
Move product from the end of the line and place in designated area of the warehouse for storage using a forklift.
Able to read, write and speak English.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Possess forklift experience, preferred.
Possess manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical processing operation.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
Able to stand, sit, and/or walk a majority of the shift.
