As a Intellectual property expert,you will work with the S&T area provide support and in the business in topics such as intellectual property management and improvement, compliance aspects in science, technology and technology planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help the teams in different projects stages: through the development of technology landscapes or brand-new activities (based on patents and literature review)
  • Manage our IP portfolio and support in the establishment of agreements (NDAs, MOUs, collaborative agreements, etc.) with third parties
  • Support to integrate patent applications and collaborate with legal consultants during the process of applications and prosecution of patents
  • Understand the status of active projects and provide mentorship in terms of technology trends to identify project opportunities, find opportunities to generate IP during a new product development, identify IP infringement risks.
  • Look for the implementation of standard methodologies in the different process


  • Bachelor degree in a technical area, preferable with specialization on IP topics.
  • Demonstrable experience +3 on integration of patent applications, preferably in the chemical industry
  • Advance English level: this is a priority requirement, since interaction with teams in other regions is required.
  • Solid understanding of the Mexican IP System, technology planning tools and using DB of patents and scientific articles
  • Autonomous, curious, and creative
