Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide invites applications for Senior Enrollment Counselor in the Enrollment Operations Department. This position is a full-cycle recruiter working with prospective students to provide them with sound information allowing them to make an informed decision. They will represent the university on occasion at educational fairs and tradeshows, and in-office conferences with walk-in prospective students as well as other post-secondary enrollment, counselors to facilitate new enrollments for the institution. Working with the Enrollment Operations Department, the Senior Enrollment Counselor assists with the development of recruitment plans to meet targeted projections by implementing innovative as well as effective recruitment tactics and initiatives.

The Senior Enrollment Counselor is responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining relationships with prospective students through application completion
  • Assisting prospective students inquiring about various educational opportunities available through the Worldwide Campus
  • Maintain department handbook
  • Manage projects as assigned
  • Providing support to all Enrollment Operations Center (EOC) Enrollment Counselors, handling lead escalations from the EOC
  • Assisting other departments such as admissions and advising as required.

This position supports excellence in student services at every opportunity and seeks to continuously maintain a healthy relationship with university, military, and corporate affiliations. All counselors are required to utilize multiple resources and tools throughout their day to day activities for the purpose of effective recruitment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of excellence in customer service and 2 years of recruitment experience

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Proven track record for consistently meeting deadlines
  • Dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual with professional recruitment experience in higher education
  • Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications to include oracle software, instant messenger applications, and Salesforce
  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High standard of personal conduct, professionalism, and integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality is vital
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to coworkers, staff, students, faculty, and customers
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationship with supervisor, team, management and others at all times
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a willingness to seek guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties
  • Excellent organizational skills
