Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking self-motivated, team-oriented, software engineers with experience in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT). This position will be located at our Dayton, OH facility. Candidates will support the National Air and Space Intelligence's Center's (NASIC) mission in GEOINT and non-nuclear

MASINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) activities to include 24x7 intelligence operations, reachback for advanced data exploitation support, and cutting-edge GEOINT and MASINT Research and Development (R&D) for NASIC and mission partners throughout the Department of Defense and Intelligence communities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to designing, developing, documenting, testing and debugging applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducting multidisciplinary research and collaborating with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other engineering-based degree and 9 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree with 7 year of related experience.

* Experience with software languages and skills: C and/or Java, object oriented analysis and design

* Must be willing to travel as needed to support mission requirements. This may require both domestic and international travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

* Active TS/SCI or SECRET clearance

* Experience with Agile software development

* Certification as a Scum Master or Scrum Developer

* Software architecture skills (e.g. design patterns, UML)

* Embedded/multi-threaded application programming

* GEOINT/MASINT data exploitation experience including, but not limited to: Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), Radio

Frequency MASINT (RF MASINT), Over-the-Horizon Radar (OTH RADAR), Line of Sight Radar (LOS RADAR), Full

Motion Video (FMV), Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI), Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), Multispectral/

Hyperspectral Imagery (MSI/HSI), Thermal Infrared (TIR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and/or Electro-optical (EO)

* Languages/Skills: Python, C#, Perl, ArcGIS, Google Earth, MATLAB, STK, NASA WorldWind, Eclipse, shell scripting,

database management systems, SQL, XML, web services, Palette, GEOCOMPASS, Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)

* Current/Previous support at NASIC
