The Computer Recycling Technician will provide set-up, training and coordination of work force and overall support for all activities in the computer remarketing area. The Computer Recycling Technician is responsible for all stages of preparing recycled computer systems, including desktop computers, laptop computers and monitors for remarketing. The Computer Recycling Technician will evaluate, clean, wipe, inventory, install software and prepare computer systems for remarketing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Perform various job responsibilities utilizing the computer and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Access.

* Must maintain the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

* Must diagnose basic computer hardware and software problems on a daily basis effectively.

* Must sort and triage computer equipment including desktop, and laptop computers and computer monitors, efficiently and effectively on a daily basis.

* Must be proficient in recognizing various parts of computer systems and disassemble and reassemble systems as necessary.

* Responsible for "wiping" computer hard drives using provided software tools, ensuring all information is purged.

* Responsible for installation of computer operating systems onto "cleaned" units.

* Responsible for the data entry of all computer systems into inventory system on a daily or as-needed basis.

* Must maintain the inventory of computer systems for resale.

* Responsible for producing accurate counts and tabulations and entering this information onto the correct report forms on an as-needed basis.

* Must produce minimum daily output to ensure daily goals are being met.

* Responsible for providing the basic training needed for other employees in the remarketing area.

* Responsible for monitoring activities in the remarketing area.

* Must adhere to the high standard of providing quality work of task assigned at all times.

* Must maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

* Other duties may be assigned.

* Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements

Basic knowledge of recognizing various parts of computer systems preferred but no required.
