Director, Digital Marketing is a member of the CorporateStrategic Marketing team and is responsible for developing, planning andimplementing enterprise-wide, global marketing strategies that support IngersollRand's strategic initiatives and long-term goals. The ideal candidate will havean outstanding marketing track record with domain expertise in digitalmarketing. This position will ensure that our digital marketing strategies enhanceour ability to solve customer problems, improve customer satisfaction andincrease sales through the seamless integration of traditional and digitalcustomer touch points. The goal is to create a digital customerexperience across Ingersoll Rand's websites, mobile applications and externaldigital channels that is as reliable and trusted as our people and products,and that extends our differentiation and industry leadership.

This role will work in a matrixorganization with direct responsibility for functional reports and agencypartners. This individual will steer and implement strategies for content, SEM/SEOand marketing web-based interactive experiences. The ideal candidate will leadand/or consult on the development and execution of digital marketing and webprojects, measured against specific goals that enable the company to drivestrong customer value, customer growth, and revenue performance.

The role will work closely with and peers instrategic business unit (SBU) marketing teams, product management &innovation, corporate strategy and communications, as well as sales management,service management, customer care, and information technology to ensure thatthe digital marketing strategy fully embodies a continuous and compelling customerexperience that is consistent with the "face" of Ingersoll Rand across allchannels. This role will include collaborating with the digital demand leaderto integrate campaigns with automation systems and measurement and educate teamsfor best practice digital marketing. This is an exciting position for someonewho can work well independently and as part of an elite team of marketingexperts, and leverage expertise and prior results to lead SBU teams towardrapid advancements in digital marketing maturity.

As the digital marketing lead, this role will work with the Marketing Technology andOperations leader, to direct the strategic long-term goals, policies andprocedures for an organization's online creative activities and marketing technologies(MarTech) stack. Through constant research and vendor vetting, the role will workcollaboratively to determine the long-term systems needs and software investmentsrequired to accomplish the organization's business objectives.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a prior history ofdeveloping and executing successful B2B digital marketing strategies thatresulted in quantifiable increases in audience engagement and revenue growth.

Job Functions:

* Drive evolution of the online experience for customers through the adoption of new technologies and online marketing techniques. This includes, tactical initiatives, planning and execution of the digital customer experience to support the business growth plans of Ingersoll Rand and SBUs, and which complement current best-in-class sales channels, service and support organizations

* Oversee the strategy and continued evolution of Ingersoll Rand's corporate website and related enterprise digital channels and marketing technology platforms.

* Develop a corporate-wide community around digital marketing, focused on sharing best practices, establishing standards, and recognizing effective results

* Manage direct reports and contract resources, oversee external agency teams and collaborate with digital resources across the Ingersoll Rand enterprise to define and drive results

* Guide, establish standard work, and ensure consistency in the total digital experience while fully capitalizing on SBU and regional digital resources. Establish close relationships, transparent communications, and provide ongoing direction and governance to these teams

* In partnership with IT, improve the quality of service and ease of doing business for our customers through an effective convergence of technologies – mobile, internet, social and direct message

* Leverage new and existing digital technology platforms, and in collaboration with IT, define and implement a digital roadmap, including but not limited to digital content management, personalization, mobile device and applications management, and utilization of cloud technologies

* Support and guide business analysis and measurement of all digital customer experience programs to drive continuous improvement and positive ROI while driving clear presence among industry competitors

* Lead and/or participate in the ongoing support and enhancement activities for the digital customer experience

* Actively monitor the health and performance of Ingersoll Rand's digital experience and lead or support activities to maintain appropriate customer experience

* Communicate strategies and programs to the Regions and provide education and strategic guidance so that the Regions can develop and execute relevant programs

* Collaborate with Regional Marketing Directors to help them develop budgets and prioritize resources for all digital marketing


* Highly collaborative, business minded, influential, and creative, with advanced oral and written communication skills and strong leadership to work with teams as a partners

* Demonstrated ability to develop imaginative and credible business strategies and the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently

* Proven track record in leading strategic business initiatives, delivering results, and managing diverse teams

* Be highly motivated, analytical, creative and results-oriented with a passion for digital products and services.

* Have exceptional customer experience judgment, creative problem solving skills combined with business curiosity and a strategic viewpoint.

* Be a self-starter, possess flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations

* Positive attitude and willingness to be both tactical and strategic

* A clear understanding of modern design principles and techniques, including adaptive design, responsive design, various web development frameworks and grid systems

* Track record implementing processes and solving technical problems.

* Ability to succeed in a highly creative environment and collaborate effectively with creative, product development, sales, marketing, retail partners, and global communications

* 15-20% domestic and international travel required


* MBA in Marketing or relevant experience with a BSc degree.

* 7-10 years digital marketing and Information Technology experience, including Web strategy and user experience expertise in a corporate and/or agency environment, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership and staff management role, preferably in B2B companies

* Knowledge of business systems, data and voice communications, and application development

* Experience partnering with IT, analytics teams, UX, and product managers to drive collaborative decisions

* Experience in navigating complex organizations, creative problem solving, and rapid experimentation

* Diversified industrial experience preferred
