Rehab Aide - Part Time

Meeting Street's Outpatient Rehabilitation program partners with Southcoast Hospitals Group to provide pediatric therapy services to children with various diagnosis, disabilities and complex medical needs in Southeastern Massachusetts. Our licensed staff evaluates and treats patients in need of physical, occupational and speech therapy services. We provide customized care with access to extensive resources, including a pool, sensory gym, fully accessible playground and personal equipment. At Meeting Street, we focus on your families by developing relationships and working collaboratively to help each child achieve his or her goals.

About this Role:

This is a part-time position working twenty (20) hour weekly. The scheduled hours are:

Monday: 3:00pm - 6:30pm

Tuesday: 2:30pm - 7:30pm

Wednesday: 2:30pm - 6:30pm

Thursday: 3:00pm - 6:30pm

Friday OR Saturday: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Rehab Aides are responsible for ensuring that the Outpatient Rehab is clean, organized and tidy at all times. This includes both our physical space where clients receive services, storage areas, and of therapy equipment itself, including wheelchairs, standers, other mobility devices, sensory gym equipment and all property of Meeting Street's Outpatient Rehab.

Rehab Aides also provide support to Therapists and Therapist Assistants as they implement therapies with clients, including assisting with the lifting, moving or positioning of patients with mobility limitations, obtaining or adjusting equipment used in therapy sessions. They may also be asked to assist in maintaining office paperwork and filing.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Experience working with pediatric special needs population is preferred

* Ability to lift/pull/push up to fifty (50) pounds independently and up to one hundred (100) pounds with the assistance of another person
