Performs a variety of department duties involving customer service telephone calls, working to resolve problems with patient accounts, counseling of patient’s, negotiation of financial arrangements and establishment of appropriate patient records to collect patient responsible balances.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure appropriateness and continuity of care for the patients of Sovah Health Danville.
Valid driver’s license required
Minimum Work Experience
Three (3) years of experience working in customer service in a medical office required
One (1) year of management experience required
Previous medical billing experience preferred
Previous financial collections and accounts receivables experience preferred
