Under minimal supervision, responsible for management and coordination of department supplies, vehicles, and equipment. Assists the management in the successful achievement of collection goals and cost effective operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.
Responsible for bringing compliance issues to the attention of management.
Assures quality customer service to all customers.
Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
Responsible for validation and repair of all Donor Care equipment. Advises staff on efficient site set-up and puts mobile items together. Schedules preventative maintenance of all Donor Care equipment.
Maintains Donor Care department vehicles in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Assures each vehicle has the appropriate blood collection and safety equipment and all equipment is functional. Performs routine evaluations of all vehicles.
Schedules preventive maintenance and repair of vehicles, and ensures vehicles are in compliance with all DOT requirements. Responsible for annual inspection and registration and DOT compliance.
Responsible for scheduling staff, as assigned. Assists with maximizing efficiency by using available tools and reports in conjunction with management.
Maintains Donor Care driver qualification files and assists with DOT driver compliance.
Assures quality customer service to all customers and recommends changes to the Donor Care process to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsible for inventory, ordering, and maintaining appropriate operating levels of supplies.
Maintains awareness and follows all safety procedures, as outlined by the organization.
Assists management with blood drive inspections.
Works with Donor Recruitment staff to assure appropriate promotional items are inventoried and packed for blood drives.
Maintains all task qualifications. May be required to support and perform staffing duties.
Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
Knowledge, Education and Experience
High school graduate or GED required.
Six months experience in Blood Center environment required.
CA driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must have proficient computer skills.
Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures and instructions.
Must be able to work flexible shifts.
Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.
