Shop Supervisor

Trinity Logistics is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Shop Supervisor in our Dallas, TX office!

In this role, the Shop Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day truck/trailer maintenance and repair shop operations. This individual will play an administrative role, as well as a technical role in guidance to shop employees, mechanics and other support personnel.

* Lead a team of 10+ shop employees

* Provide support to the operations team regarding all equipment related issues

* Perform quality control inspections on completed repairs/services

* Review, approve and process completed work orders

* Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies

* Manage inventory, parts and tools

* Knowledge of repair, maintenance of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and heavy equipment

* Monitor employee's performance and be accessible to all areas of the shop

* Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment

* Conduct pre-shift meetings

* Assist in hiring, reviews, discipline, education and development of employees

* Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

* Other duties as assigned


* Preferred 5 years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair with technical knowledge of late model diesel engines

* Must be able to operate tools and computer equipment required to diagnose and troubleshoot late model heavy duty diesel engines and accessories

* Preferred 3 years supervisory experience

* Valid Texas Driver's License, with good driving record

* High school/GED

* Knowledge of welding

* Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft office

* Ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely

* Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with others in a professional manner

* Ability to work in varied conditions (i.e., heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, etc.), inside and outside

* Understand DOT regulations as it pertains to maintenance and repair
