Senior Specialist, Marketing Communications

The Marketing Specialist will lead and support a variety of marketing objectives and processes, including webinars, email campaigns, brochures, newsletters, event coordination, copywriting/editing, promotional items, communications, press materials and various administrative duties including PO and invoice processing. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to take initiative, and always anticipate the needs of management and internal clients.

Responsibilities and Experience:

* Support global PR and communication execution to secure earned media opportunities in major print and media outlets

* Craft plans that drive visibility and enhance our marketplace reputation as an industry thought leader

* Work closely with Ryan business leaders and subject matter experts to develop, solicit and place contributed articles, bylines and other key mentions

* Build and maintain relationships with tax and finance press

* Develop social media strategy that achieves aggressive engagement goals

* Support internal communications programs, including executive updates and newsletters

* Create materials and other content including press releases, pitches, media lists, blog posts, TV scripts, and social media posts when needed

* Review and enhance external client-facing marketing communications

* Supports Ryan's collateral channel, working with internal clients and managers to develop, print and maintain brand-compliant brochures.

* Supports Ryan's webinar channel, working with internal clients and managers to develop and launch the program and supporting promotion.

* Supports Ryan's time-sensitive sponsorship channel, including working with vendors, Ryan stakeholders and event hosts to manage expectations and deliver Ryan branded materials on time and on budget.

* Supports Ryan's email marketing channel in the development and launch of internal and external communications.

* Maintains inventory of the Firm's promotional literature for use at events. Supports events, including displays, promotional items, etc.

* Ability to quickly and effectively respond to requests from internal clients.

* Acts as a copywriter and editor for internal and external communications. Proofreads materials for correct spelling, grammar, and Ryan style.

* Updates and maintains the marketing calendar, monitoring key deadlines, and following up with appropriate individuals to ensure projects stay on track.

* Assists with marketing budget (PO and invoice) management, keeping track of dollars spent against purchase orders and departmental allocations.

* Excellent project management skills while supporting multiple projects and stakeholders.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Assists with various marketing administrative needs.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.B.A., or B.S.) from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Marketing required (MBA preferred), and four to six years related work experience required.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license required.
