BlueMetal,a division of Insight, is seeking a Principal Architect to join our team. We're comprised of thought leaders and technology wizards whose mission is to keep a pulse on technology and industry trends and blaze a path forward for BlueMetal by defining best practices for digital innovation with best of breed technologies, both proven and emerging. We employ a cloud first mentality, and align closely with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

We are seeking a Principal Architect for our team who has extensive expertise in one or both of our two largest strategic growth areas below, leveraging related Microsoft Azure products and solutions:

* Data & Analytics

* Internet of Things

The ideal candidate would be based out of our Plano office, and would be open to moderate travel in order to provide a national impact within BlueMetal and our clients.

What you'll do at BlueMetal a division of Insight:

* Serve as a technical subject matter expert in BlueMetal's strategic growth areas, instilling knowledge and best practices into our sales, delivery, marketing and alliances teams.

* Act as a thought leader in the greater community and connect with like-minded professionals across BlueMetal's client and partner networks to foster business development opportunities.

* Produce written, visual and demonstration quality collateral and materials supporting the National Practice's targeted offerings and help to drive the offerings both internally and externally.

* Attend, organize and present at technology and industry events and community programs.

* Lead architectural design sessions and pre-sales scoping activities for our clients, along with BlueMetal's sales and delivery teams.

* Work directly with client stakeholders and an award-winning team of engineers, architects and thought leaders to discover, design, build and implement an exciting variety of mission critical, line of business applications as well as cutting-edge cloud, big data and predictive analytics solutions.

* Drive the discovery, design and execution of a wide variety of data solutions for external clients

* Design and lead delivery of solutions to tough data challenges and provide feedback on others' work

* Provide hands-on guidance and oversight on all aspects of solution delivery: sales, estimation, design, management, implementation, delivery and more

What you'll need to join Insight/BlueMetal:

* Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent

* Minimum 10 years of industry experience

* Extensive experience and knowledge of agile development, SDLC and DevOps

* Breadth of knowledge across all Microsoft Azure products & solutions, with depth of knowledge in some or all of the following:

* Data & Analytics products & solutions (e.g. Azure SQL, CosmosDB, DataLake, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Analysis Services, Data Factory, HDInsight, etc)

* AI & Cognitive Services products & solutions (e.g. AML, Bot Service, LUIS, etc.)

* Internet of Things (e.g. IoT Hub, IoT Edge, Stream Analytics, etc.)

* Expertise with other IoT, Data and Analytics products and solutions outside of the Microsoft Azure platform is also desirable

* In-depth knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT and in-memory/cube use cases and patterns

* SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse

* SSRS, Power BI, Tableau

* SSAS and DAX

* Reporting Services

* SSIS

* Demonstrable experience in several of the following:

* Azure Data Factory

* PowerShell scripting

* Azure Automation

* Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Lake Analytics
