The Perfusionist provides patient care in the form of operation of the extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace a person's cardiopulmonary, circulatory, or respiratory function. The Perfusionist selects the appropriate equipment and techniques necessary for support, treatment, measurement, or supplementation of the cardiopulmonary and circulatory system of a patient, including the safe monitoring, analysis, and treatment of physiologic conditions under an order and supervision of a physician.

220 TAVR cases annually

Call schedule consists of 1st and 2nd call split evenly among the perfusion team with one weekend of call a month.

Cardiac cases include CAB, Valve, Mini AVR/MVR, ATAA, Heart and Lung transplant, multiple VADs including TAH, IABP and HIPEC cases.

Equipment and disposables utilized are Terumo System 1 with FX series disposables. The perfusion team focuses heavily on current guidelines and standards with in the perfusion and medical community. Cardioplegia consists of Quest MPS 2 with utilization of DNA CPG. The perfusion team utilizes autologous blood salvaging on cardiac cases only.

There is opportunity to apply and work with the ECMO transport team. The team utilizes ground and air transport to offer OSH cannulation as well as pre-existing transport to one of our ECMO facilities. Our staff of highly trained ECMO specialist sit with and manage all ECMO patients in the Cardiac ICU.

  • No Experience required
  • Licensed Perfusionist
  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP)
  • Certified by the American Board of Cardio Perfusion or willing to obtain within one 1 year of employment
