Infectious Diseases Physician

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, is seeking applicants for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level and above. Applicants must have an M.D. degree, or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school, and have satisfactorily completed an Internal Medicine residency program, and an Infectious Diseases fellowship program, from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Infectious Diseases. The primary roles and responsibilities will be to provide patient care on the Infectious Diseases Inpatient Consult Services at Clements University Hospital and Parkland Hospital and in the Parkland and UTSW clinics. Other duties can include sharing attending duties on General Internal Medicine, HIV and Bone & Joint services. Participation in the teaching and training of medical students, residents and ID fellows is also expected. The interests of the applicant and the needs of the division will determine the exact distribution of responsibilities for an individual faculty member.
