Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Role Purpose:

To provide financial planning, analysis and control for the Aerostructures North America (ANA) Business Stream across actuals, forecast, budget and strategy and support to the CFO and the leadership team by applying continuous improvement and business partnering in all aspects of reporting and business analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy, Planning & Forecasting

* Actively promote the effective use of relevant reporting tools for strategy, budgeting and forecasting;

* Manage the ANA monthly rolling forecast and provide comprehensive analysis and presentation to the CEO and CFO as required;

* Manage the budget process for ANA, including timetable, reporting and financial analysis and presentation;

* Provide Financial lead and support to the business in the Strategic Planning Process;

* Actively manage the capital allocation process and ensure that all information is correctly reported and considered for business; and

* Provide financial support as appropriate on business analysis opportunities

Performance & Management Information

* Manage the business stream reporting timetable in line with the requirements of Division and parent company;

* Lead the regular collation, analysis and challenge of the reporting results (financial and other) required to monitor and drive the actuals against budget and forecast;

* Manage and report the forecasted and cash position as required by the Business and Division;

* Act as the interface between Division/HQ and the reporting units for the Business Stream;

* Provide timely and accurate reporting information (actuals / forecast / budget) for the CEO and CFO of ANA for regular and ad-hoc business reviews;

* Own the integrity and accuracy of the financial data as submitted in HFM and other systems;

* Ensure that all Monthly Reports ('MRs') are accurate and complete by continually supporting and improving the process

Organizational Development

* Provide coaching and training to the finance business teams;

* Work with financial controllers to develop technical knowledge where appropriate;

* Promote and share best practice across the business and implement to improve efficiencies in processes;

* Support the development of commonality in reporting systems across the ANA business

Central Reporting Units

* For ANA and Aero Dallas central reporting units – (i) Perform a review of the financial results for the month and ensure that all journals and invoices are appropriate and authorized (ii) Review and load the forecast for the reporting entities (iii) manage the budget process

Key Internal Relationships:

* ANA Business stream CFO;


* Aerospace Director of Finance and Aerospace CFO;

* Reporting Unit General Managers and Finance leads;

Required Qualifications / Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting;

* 7+ years' experience in a finance reporting/forecasting role supporting a global, multi-national, or international business, with at least 3 years reporting to senior leadership

* 3+ years' experience requiring financial and technical expertise, particularly in IFRS.

* Proven ability to develop and deploy a vision across a large organization and deliver change;

* Very strong attention to detail with clear ability to see the bigger picture;

* Team worker with aptitude for mentoring and coaching;

* Ability to express complex issues in a concise way;

* Highly IT/systems literate;

* HFM experience
