: Director, Digital Product Management

The Director of Digital Product Management will be responsible for charting and executing the course for AT&T's customer and employee digital experience across our consumer distribution channels. You will lead a team of product managers and will be responsible for delivering product strategy, product roadmap, as well as solutions that will enable world-class omni-channel customer experience. You will be responsible for growing a team that excels in both the art of creating delightful customer experiences and the science of applying experimentation mindset and data-driven decisions. A key component of your role will be working closely with business and technology leaders to ensure opportunities pursued are aligned to business objectives, strategically consistent, technically feasible, and will raise the bar for customer experience. You will be responsible for the voice of customers and employees as you work with business, technology, and UX leaders to set strategy and define products.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

* Establish and continuously update the vision and roadmap for AT&T omni-channel customer experience.

* Manage the product lifecycle through defining product roadmap, ensuring product delivery, collaborating closely with the business, technology, and UX stakeholders on feature specifications, representing the voice of the user, and making decisions on priorities and trade-offs.

* Foster and grow the culture based on openness, accountability, agility, data-driven decisions, innovation, cross-team collaboration, continuous learning & integrity. Be a role model by setting and following high standards for these culture elements.

* Ensure business, functional and system requirements are well written and there is clear communication and coordination of requirements with impacted stakeholders.

* Create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria.

* Manage the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and managing the right expectations with stakeholders.

* Make sound decisions in spite of uncertainty and proactively anticipate and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks).

* Define, review, and track key metrics associated with product and program performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a related engineering discipline required. MBA preferred.

* 8+ years of experience in Product Management in large-scale ecommerce or similar customer-facing digital capability

* 5+ years of experience leading and managing Product Management teams in digital space

* 5+ years of experience in agile and lean startup product management processes

* Experience leading complex strategic and operational initiatives and working through technical, business, operational, and legal/compliance issues.

* Product management experience with large-scale enterprise systems or other systems with complex business logic.

* Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a large, fast-paced environment.

* Exceptional communication and writing skills.

* Metrics-focused - Define metrics for success and failure; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and make decisions.

* Be able to weigh technical trade-offs and have in-depth discussions with technology teams on the nuances of complex engineering systems.

* Sound business judgment, strong ability to influence others, and advanced analytical thinking skills are critical for success in this position

Required Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the wireless industry and current trends in UI/UE within device vendors and wireless carriers. He/she will have a strong sense and intuition for usability and design, with the ability to balance creativity and practicality. This individual will be a proven performer with measurable successes leading to positive bottom-line results. Interpersonally, this person will need to have the ability to build consensus and work across organizational boundaries.

Additionally, this person will possess:

* 6-8 years experience in user interface and human factors design for handheld consumer electronics products, handheld computers and/or other mobile devices

* 3-6 years experience managing teams, preferably comprising diverse disciplines including marketing, design and technical resources

* At least 3 years experience leading design efforts utilizing 3rd party suppliers with demonstrable short-term and long-term results

* Specific experience in the wireless industry, either with a wireless carrier, manufacturer or wireless software design firm

* Strong knowledge of handheld device software architecture and RTOS environments.

* Strong people management, coaching and counseling skills

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

* Superior written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal and negotiation skills

* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Design or similar field, with a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Marketing strongly desired
