  • Assist with the development and implementation of the comprehensive industry engagement plan. Work directly with campus-based workplace learning coordinators to ensure consistent industry engagement activities throughout the District; work collaboratively with campuses and departments to ensure District policy is adhered to in the development of industry partnership engagement activities, and develop best practices for schools to engage industry partners and students in meaningful work-based learning experiences inclusive of activities for student instruction and teacher professional development and mentoring and externships.
  • Assist with the development of work practices and systems that enable sustainable engagement between P-TECH and Collegiate Academy Programs, industry partners, and campus advisory boards.
  • Assist with the development of P-TECH workplace learning curricula and project-based learning activities.
  • Coordinate and implement programs with industry partners and campus coordinators to develop project-based learning activities which incorporate workplace learning skills and core competencies.
  • Oversee the P-TECH partnership database system to track and monitor P-TECH industry partnership engagement activities Districtwide; and provide training and support to school staff to ensure meaningful workbase learning experiences are implemented.
  • Disseminate information on Work-Based Learning programs to campus administrator, workplace learning coordinators and counselors.
  • Assist with career development of students in P-TECH pathways by assisting campus coordinators with developing extended learning opportunities focused on employability skills.
  • Assist campus workplace learning coordinators by identifying, Internships, Job Shadowing, Service Learning, and other Work-Based Learning programs offered that relate to worksite learning opportunities for students enrolled in the P-TECH program.
  • Maintain database of P-TECH industry partners providing internships and first-in-line job interviews for P-TECH students.
  • Effectively manage data collection, execute metrics, and compile reports; create and implement concise and timely reporting systems for both internal and external stakeholders; compile statistical reports on workbased learning activities and P-TECH industry partner engagement activities
  • Build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with principals, school staff, and administrative personnel about workbased learning guidelines and expectations and conduct trainings throughout the district and in the business and community at large
  • Collaborate with campuses to support and strategically increase P-TECH industry partner engagement using proven ability to research, analyze, and monitor trends to increase workbased learning experiences for students
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university in a directly related field
  • Four years of directly related experience in education
  • Strong knowledge of district operations, policies, and procedures related to work-based learning
  • Knowledge and experience working with stakeholders, business groups and organizations
  • Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and monitoring project-based learning
  • Excellent public speaker with the ability to develop presentations using business presentation software
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Experience and ability to communicate and work with a diverse community and the public at large
  • Strong organizational, communication and event coordination skills required to achieve the goals of the position
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours including after school, evenings, and Saturdays
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
