Business Development Manager

Job Description

Position Overview:

Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager to support our Wireless Carrier business. This Business Development Manager will be influential on developing, defining, and executing our strategy to achieve profitable growth objectives in the Wireless Carrier market. This role will require heavy customer facing time, and relationship building at all levels within the customer organization. This role will require Front end Molex electronic solution representation. This role will be closely tied to our BU, GSM, and cross-functional teams all focused on exceeding customer expectations, and value creation for the organization.

Essential Functions:

* Identify and grow successful working relationships within all key areas of the customer organization to establish Molex as a technical leader and supplier of choice.

* Identify and engage key architects and designers working on wireless infrastructure applications.

* Identify, monitor, and communicate key trends across the Wireless infrastructure market and industry including working knowledge of the competitive landscape. Gather necessary industry data analytics on various market segments to support strategic business direction.

* Maximize profitable revenue growth and pipeline of programs in area of responsibility.

* Support global GSM resources supporting the Wireless Infrastructure market segment. Leverage company resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, implementation, and closure of new business pipeline to meet target objectives.

* Ability to screen potential business deals by analyzing customer and market strategies, deal requirements, opportunity potential, financial metrics to advance/close new business opts.

* Effectively coordinate and drive VOC back to the business units to advance opts.

* Responsible for tracking financial and pipeline results throughout the fiscal year as required by management through monthly/quarterly reporting and business updates.

* Create and develop available training tools including relevant presentations, marketing material, sample kits, to assist in advancement of key opportunities.

* Understand, adopt and support MBM philosophy and culture, and Guiding Principles.

* Develop RRE's (Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations) for all activities to drive and optimize value back to the organization.

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree

* 5+ years outside sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree, or advanced, in Engineering (preferably BSEE, Physics, or Optics), MBA

* 5+ years outside sales experience in the RF coaxial cables, fiber optic assembly and hybrid assembly industry

Skills and Abilities:

* A self-motivated individual who can successfully manage and prioritize their own workload with minimal direct supervision

* Ongoing development of personal expertise is critical to success in this role

* Ability to understand customer technical needs and effectively sell solutions to both the customer and present these options to our supporting Molex Business Units for buy in

* Ability to effectively build strategic customer relationships across a broad span of roles to maximize Molex's ability to win new business opportunities

* Ability to influence others both within Molex and at the customer base

* Projects a professional and credible image, well respected in the marketplace
