Position Summary:

Hillwood Communities is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager to support the marketing programs in Dallas-Fort Worth. The perfect candidate will partner with the Marketing Manager to deliver effective marketing programs and events and understands marketing best practices while fostering customer relationships with builders, Realtors, and homebuyers.


  • Support Marketing Manager on Realtor initiatives including attending events, presentations, reporting, and logistics for Realtor program and website
  • Value the brand and deliver the brand voice consistently
  • Coordinate brand website information updates including monthly website reviews
  • Assist in planning events for seven communities and corporate division and attend events to assist in logistics
  • Navigate sales reports, financials, and other business intelligence
  • Categorize all photo and video assets in the digital asset management (DAM) platform
  • Process and code vendor invoices for review and approval by Marketing Manager
  • Manage calendar and postings to multiple social media platforms
  • Manage calendar and content for monthly email program
  • Manage internal sales reporting platform and generate key takeaways monthly
  • Maintain marketing materials inventory to ensure adequate supply levels
  • Attend meetings and events both inside and outside the company
  • Assist with presentations, report writing, and distribution
  • Follow up on email, call, and website generated leads
  • Assist with generating and maintaining a lead report

Required Abilities/Skills:

  • Ability to write effective social media content
  • Ability to manage social media and email content calendars
  • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills with the target audience and message in mind
  • Has a keen eye for detail and accuracy with strong proofreading ability
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with any variety of CRM platforms
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Creative Suite or Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms for front end website updates (experience with DotNetNuke and/or WordPress a plus)
  • Comfortable with virtual meeting software (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.)
  • Some after business hours and weekend assignments may be required
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% including Houston and Austin areas

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related fields
  • Minimum one to two years of experience with portfolio of work product
  • Experience in the homebuilding or real estate industry is a plus
  • Experience building marketing programs and results reporting
  • Familiarity with social media strategies
