Customer Service Representative- Publications

The Customer Service Representative- Publications will be responsible for working closely with internal and external customers in a dynamic and fast-paced technical support environment.

Additional job duties include:

* Review database continually monitoring workflow deadlines, work closely with pressroom to ensure all scheduled work is processed and ready for shipping by end of each day.

* Handle customer service updates and information by logging all customer contact information in our database; as well as, redirecting issues to the appropriate resource, and escalating situations requiring immediate attention.

* Perform outbound contact with customers to schedule training, respond to publication concerns, and assist new customer on-boarding procedures. Provide software support and training for customers via phone and e-mail.

* Conduct customer support phone calls and e-mails regarding the use of publication related programs, desktop publishing and graphics. Respond to questions regarding customer publications and assist with design decisions.

* Use proprietary automation and workflow software to ensure publications are prepress ready.

* Construct and update technical support documentation based on end user feedback.

* Assist with tracking packages as needed.

Position Requirements:

* High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required

* Above-average customer service skills to provide first-line support for internal and external customers.

* Previous Prepress or related experience desired

* Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as, above-average critical thinking skills to provide training for new and existing publication editors.

* Solid working knowledge of Windows-based products and programs including; Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Excel and Acrobat Professional.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

* Above-average problem solving and decision making skills.

* Comfort ability and flexibility in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Positive attitude, self-directed and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
