Job Summary:

The Newmark Knight Frank Infrastructure Technology (IT) ProjectManager supports all design and projects managed by the Project Managementdepartment. He/she works with each construction project manager onindividual projects as part of the project management team, supporting the ITcomponents and installation coordination.

Essential Job Duties:

* Oversee and coordinate with IT engineers (voice and data) for each project

* Participate in programming meetings for tenant improvement, lab remodel and/or infrastructure improvement projects.

* Attend construction and end-user project coordination meetings.

* Ensure that all IT project components are correctly budgeted, specified and ordered in a timely manner.

* Ensure that IT vendor work is scheduled and taking place within the agreed upon scheduled dates.

* Report to construction project managers when IT deliverable issues arise.

* Implement corporate standards throughout all projects.

* Provide accurate project documentation and record maintenance throughout the project. Maintain all historical data on projects for future projections and project budgeting.

* Develops project plans, coordinates projects, and communicates changes and progress.

* Manages project team activities, encourages open communications and maintains objectivity. Uses negotiations skills to resolve conflicts.

Skills, Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

* Minimum of 5 years related Project Manager experience.

* Working knowledge of construction projects to include construction sequencing.

* Ability to coordinate between real estate design and technology engineers

* Working knowledge for IT systems primarily in the area of Layer 1, and to include voice, data, (WAN/LAN) and wireless communications systems.

* Understands tiered network architecture, core, distribution, and access

* Familiarity with VoIP and telephony solutions.

* Should understand the concepts of redundant systems and connections.

* Basic knowledge of power and cooling load calculations for telecommunications rooms.

* Excellent verbal and written communication.

* Keeps others adequately informed, selects and uses appropriate communications methods, displays original thinking and creativity.

* Must be able to meet challenges with resourcefulness, generates suggestions for improving work, and develops innovative approaches and ideas.

* Must have the ability to develop alternative solutions, resolves problems in early stages and works well in group problem solving situation/
