Merchandise Planner wanted for Fashion Retail E-Commerce

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Own/create, update and reforecast Category Plans that support OTB top down forecasts / plan ensuring information is accurate and sales projections / on order reflect current business needs / trend

* Manage the reconciliation of top down to bottoms up financial plans for assigned product categories

* At Dept/class level, collaborate with buying to ensure that financial objectives align with product opportunities

* Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for growth for assigned area down to the Class / SKU level (Core)

* At the weekly level, update and re-forecast Item / Core programs. Ensure plans support sales trend through accurate flow forecast and investment quantities

* Manage inventory from investment through execution, including ongoing assessments and updates to inventory levels for e-commerce and wholesale channels

* Identify potential inventory liabilities between DTC & wholesale warehouses and submit appropriate action plans / recommendations

* Responsible for running weekly standardized reports, configuring data and troubleshooting

* Initiate / recommend reorder quantities on high sell thru items for chase buys

* Compile historical product (including color and size selling) / category performance used for hindsight reports and future buy reviews

* Partner with Buying and Operations counterparts in order to strategically move business toward increasing profitability for assigned product categories

* Prepare monthly/quarterly liquidation proposals to third party partners.

* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Cross Functional team members; ie, Merchandising, Warehouse Operations, Wholesale and Creative

* Performs other job duties as needed

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Bachelor's Degree

* 2-5+ years of related merchandise / wholesale planning experience required; footwear & accessories ecommerce experience preferred

* Detailed knowledge of retail math

* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

* Must have excellent time-management, organization and presentation skills

* Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment

* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Ability to influence and negotiate at a variety of levels

* Self-motivated and proactive
