Asp.net Software Engineer

CTG's premier global client in Cranberry, PA has a 6-month contract assignment for an ASP.NET Software Engineer. There is the potential of extension after the initial contract period.

The W2 hourly pay range for this position will be $50.32/hr - $57.02/hr. (depending upon experience).

The IT and Innovation team is looking for an experienced full stack C# asp.net application developer. This individual will work within a team responsible for the architecture and development of building everything from proof of concepts to rich and interactive web applications. This team is tasked with building core reusable and scalable pieces of software and next generation development efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Web application and service development

• Collaborate on technical architecture and design

• Provide task details and estimates

• Strong initiative and attention to detail

• Work in both design and development stages of the software creation

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

• Broad knowledge of web-based application development

• 3-5 years’ experience with client-side scripting (JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap)

• Understanding of Single-Page-Application Frameworks (Knockout JS, Angular, Backbone JS)

• HTML 5

• 3-5 years’ hand-on experience with ASP.NET MVC and C#

• Knowledge of web services and services oriented architecture

Preferred Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience with T-SQL and SQL Server

• 3-5 years’.Net Framework

• MS Azure Experience

• Team Foundation Server (TFS)

• Experience developing responsive websites or applications

• CORDOVA or Xamarin experience

Skills

• An understanding of basic concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies

• Strong understanding of architectures, analytical and design techniques, database technologies, and programming languages

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms

• Strong organizational skills

• Proven flexibility in managing competing priorities

• Excellent analytical skills for identifying and solving problems
