Summary of the Job:# Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.# Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.# # Minimum Qualifications:Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program. Current LA RN licensure.# BLS#certified through the American Heart Association required upon hire.ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire.# Certification requirements vary per department. # Preferred Qualifications:One year of acute Emergency Department experience preferred. # Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health.# Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.# Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.# Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
