Sales Program Managers provides end-to-end program management during the deal pursuit process. Specifically, the Sales Program Manager provides input and direction through the opportunity qualification (win strategy) process, utilizes portfolio knowledge, market knowledge and sales strategy reinforcement process (timelines, deliverables and client requirements) supporting the sales process.

JOB ROLE SUMMARY

Sales Program Managers provides end-to-end program management during the deal pursuit process. Specifically, the Sales Program Manager provides input and direction through the opportunity qualification (win strategy) process, utilizes portfolio knowledge, market knowledge and sales strategy reinforcement process (timelines, deliverables and client requirements) supporting the sales process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Serves as a first point of contact (internally) for SE on pursuits and single point of contact for SE during the entire deal pursuit process

* Engages pursuit team members as needed to align with client business needs

* Utilizes Acxiom portfolio knowledge to sales teams for the qualification and positioning of deals with prospective clients

* Serves as a core member of the sales team to determine deal scope, objectives, messages and value propositions that make up the proposed business and technical solution

* Compiles information and coordinates the construction of the value proposition and business case--includes providing consulting to the sales, market, LOB SMEs and ESA's to insure the most effective message is being presented to the client

* Coordinates the appropriate sales reviews and approval gates as directed by enterprise policy

* Manages and ensures compliance with organizational processes, pursuit specific collaboration tools, project plans, calendars, pursuit issues and risks, planning and review meetings

* Communicates with the entire pursuit team to build and maintain a shared understanding of pursuit plans, status, priorities and next steps

* Identifies and resolves pursuit issues by escalating them or engaging key stakeholders and/or senior leadership as appropriate

* Act as an advisor to senior sales, account or industry leadership with respect to the current state and future advancement of deals assigned

* Interface with third party intermediaries and/or client personnel as necessary to understand requirements and manage pursuit plans/activities

* Serve as a resource with sales teams on the application of the Acxiom solution toolbox, sales support processes, pursuit team roles and responsibilities and bid/project management practices.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Advanced, proven knowledge of Acxiom products

INDEPENDENT CONTRIBUTOR: Fully functional and self-directed. Provides formal mentorship. High complexity assignments- owner. Moderate complexity assignments - owner (1 or >). Low complexity assignments - provide oversight/review. Regularly lead self and others and/or established as Product SME and/or established as specialist . Sees the whole picture and adjusts work accordingly.

COMMUNICATION: Adapts communication to fit the "audience." Use direct persuasion, facts and figures appropriately to gain buy-in and compel others to positive action. Solid demonstration of critical thinking/problem solving skills to frame a situation / concept. Communicates effectively downward, laterally and one layer upward.

LEADERSHIP: Balances company, team, and personal achievement. Possesses good leadership skills and has the ability to mentor less experienced test associates. Identifies conflict and drives to closure.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

* Marketing services solutions knowledge and ability to apply that knowledge to industry and client business problems; excellent networking skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise; prior sales support experience including RFP project management and response creation; ability to lead project teams of 8 to 15 associates working under tight deadlines; high degree of competence with MS programs
