Machine Operator 12 Hour Shift

 Concord, NC

A leading manufacturer & distributor of dye sublimation ribbons used in printing photos and ID cards, has an excellent opportunity available in Concord, NC facility for a Slitter Operator. The Slitter Operator runs production slitting machines in order to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual output targets. This will be on a 2/2/3 shift. 12 hour swing shifts from 5:45am-6:00pm. The starting pay is $17.00/hour.

ResponsibilitiesTo set up and operate slitting machines according to the appropriate “machine operator’s manual” under direction of the Group Leader. Carry and supply materials to the machines. Remove finished product from the machine. Supplies and finished goods of up to 38 lbs. must be lifted about 75 times per shift. (Maximum weight to be lifted is 50lbs.) Group Leaders will determine the machine each operator is assigned to. Operators will be crosstrained to operate different machines. Recommend productivity improvement plans and cost reduction plans (Total Productive Maintenance activity). Investigate and analyze causes of target frustration.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • standing for 8 hours at one time
