Summary

The Pack role packages finished furniture pieces prior to shipping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Identify and retrieve proper carton for the piece, make cartons as necessary

Prepare and pad furniture with cardboard pads, tape down shelves

Verify accompanying paperwork that goes with furniture

Collect proper hardware pieces to be shipped with the product

Tape box up around product

Put runner on product as necessary

Mark and label product with proper shipping information

Daily housekeeping of area to keep clean

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to correctly use a tape measure.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
