Job Description

Ohio Plan Specific:

This role is part of the Operational Excellence team, which leadscontinuous improvement activities within Molina Healthcare's Ohio Plan. Healthcare Services is the largest division ofthe Ohio Plan, which has a total of over 1100 employees. This role would focus on small-to-medium scaleprocess improvement projects in collaboration with Care Management andUtilization Management teams to help teams improve their processes. As part of your normal work, you will beexpected to lead team meetings focused around problem solving and processimprovement. In addition you will alsobe expected to present recommendations, findings and results to localHealthcare Services leadership. Thesetwo organizations are comprised of Social Workers, Nurses, and Care ReviewProcessors that deliver managed healthcare services to over 330,000 in thestate of Ohio and some 4.5 Million nationally. In addition to process improvement, this role will require you to helpdepartment leaders with report development, IT ticket requirements gathering,and trouble shooting. For this aspect ofthe role, you will be asked to help management refine how the report will beused to execute internal Healthcare Services processes and translate thoserequirements to the Molina Analytics and IT staff. For that reason, your ability to work withstaff members and learn internal processes will be critical. You will also need to build close familiaritywith the reports that Healthcare Services staff use in their daily work.

There will be training and development early on where youwill learn the Six Sigma process; working towards an eventual Green Belt certification. In addition to Green Belt projects, you willbe asked to lead "A3" projects (3 to 6 weeks in duration) and/or Kaizen events(part of the Six Sigma process that you will learn) generally lasting 1 week. Prior experience as a Green Belt ispreferred. Active coaching is a coreelement of the onboarding and training strategy and will continue as you develop.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and workwell in teams are necessary for this role. A high proficiency in navigating the Microsoft Office suite products isneeded. Familiarity with healthcare andmanaged care are preferred. This is anideal role for any individual who wants to track their career with higherlevels of responsibility in the Six Sigma Process Improvement discipline.

Job Summary

Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. Collaborates with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs. May participate in management reviews, including presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course of action. This is a general role in which employees work with multiple types of business data. May be internal operations-focused or external client-focused.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

* Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, and requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

* Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

* Communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze and transform needs, goals and transforming in to functional requirements and delivering the appropriate artifacts as needed.

* Work with operational leaders within the business to provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements, medical cost savings or revenue enhancements.

* Create Business Requirements Documents, Test Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrix, User Training materials and other related documentations.

* Actively participates in all stages of project development including research, design, programming, testing and implementation to ensures the released product meets the intended functional and operational requirementsJob Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

* 5-7 years of business analysis experience,

* 6 years managed care experience.

* Demonstrates proficiency in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to job-related subject areas.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience

* 3-5 years of formal training in Project Management

* Experience working with complex, often highly technical teams

Preferred License, Certification, Association

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification from International Institute of Business Analysis preferred
