Leads, manages and develops the process and team that lays out the placement of merchandise categories and promotional programs on consolidated maps for stores to execute weekly and monthly transition updates. Governs the strategies and standards required to deliver a cohesive and consistent in-store experience. Drives execution and prioritization of placement to increase sales, build the brand, and maximize product sell through. Spearheads creative ingenuity through analytical, competitive and marketplace observations and insights.

1. Acts as central collaborator, facilitator, and interdepartmental liaison for category and promotional placement on maps.

2. Ensures all necessary components of projects are reviewed, communicated, and executed to meet company expectations.

3. Conceptualizes, develops, and manages additional acquisition projects to drive store traffic and increase sales.

4. Collaborates across merchandising, operations, and facilities to ensure all designs meet expectations. Obtains buy-in/approval from all cross- functional teams and ensures on-time delivery.

5. Responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and governance of consistent category placement standards.

6. Builds and maintains a component matrix that captures category min/max footages.

7. Maintains the departments T-Minus schedule that drives timing of input and output deliveries for all merchandising and marketing components. Collaborates with Global Sourcing and Merchandising to determine lead times.

8. Leads the development and maintenance of existing maps and assesses the need and plan for additional versions.

9. Responsible for standardizing, optimizing, and consolidating merchandise and marketing maps to drive clearer execution.

10. Contributes to the seasonal review process by providing strategy, recommendations and hind sighting on flow.

11. Collaborates and partners with planning, buying and operations teams on direction and communication for seasonal transitions.

12. Delivers quality proofing and approval routing. Performs and delivers quality comp shops and internal execution audits.

13. Identifies necessary and relevant analysis needed to provide quantitative data to affect placement decisions.

14. Participates in on-boarding for new team members.

15. Oversees and ensures on-line posting of all necessary maps and information materials.

16. Drafts and executes communications to stores to ensure execution of placement initiatives.

17. Collaborates with store merchandise and marketing counterparts to interpret merchant vision and optimize the full store customer shopping experience, ensuring that divisional priorities are properly accounted for and placed on store maps.

18. Partners with store planning for new stores and remodels.

1. MIS or Business Degree or equivalent experience required.

2. Minimum of 5 years of transferable retail experience within Store Merchandising, Store Planning or Facilities Planning preferred.

3. Knowledgeable in in-store layouts, merchandising processes and tools required.

4. Strong innovation, conceptualization, and strategic thinking skills required.

5. Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.

6. Exceptional leadership skills with ability to be inclusive, inform, drive change, develop and mentor teams and individuals.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe applications, AutoCAD, Revit, In-Design, and Space Management Tools a plus.

8. Ability to multi-task and delegate with superior follow-up skills required.

9. Strong self-management skills with the ability work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines required.

10. Excels at working cross-functionally across all levels of the business. Comfortable with managing up or down.

11. Able to perform physical activity at a sustained pace including: walking, bending, and lifting (min of 25 pounds).

12. SQL, VBA, or .NET a plus.
