Job Qualifications:

Established professional in h uman resource management with experience in the HR field, and industry relevant education to provide key HR initiatives for recruiting, new hire and on-boarding, payroll, employee relations, employee programs to include recognition, employee training and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, as well as special HR projects as required to promote employee engagement, retention, and maximize the human resource value proposition at Aurora .

Specific Responsibilities:

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting key initiatives that require:

* Understanding of concepts related to compensation and benefits, performance management, attrition, turnover rates, etc., to provide analytical reports as required.

* Implementation of work processes that support training and development of workforce.

* Records management and generating reports from electronic repositories.

* Maintenance of confidentiality and security of employee information.

* Knowledge of federal regulatory compliance and required postings.

* Experience working with HRIS programs such as ADP, SAP and report generation.

* Ability to apply effective time and self-management skills in a busy work environment; meeting deadlines despite regular interruptions.

* Independent judgment to plan, prioritize and execute diverse workload, outstanding organizational skills, and strong communication skills.

* Providing information and answering inquiries for employees with high level of confidentiality.

* Involvement in audits on weekly, quarterly and annual basis/as needed; included but not limited to: vacation accrual/balances, training records and employee files for compliance.

* Record, track and document concerns brought by employees to ensure proper follow up and resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must have demonstrable work experience or education in the following:

* Basic knowledge of federal, state, provincial employment laws and OSHA regulations as it pertains to workers compensation.

* Ability to express ideas effectively, adjusting style, tools and mode to needs of audience.

* Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, and influence horizontally as well as vertically.

* Formal degree in human resource management or related discipline, or equivalent experience with minimum 3-year work record.

A preferred candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter, with initiative and sense of urgency to get the job done. The candidate should show a successful track record as:

* HR generalist experience in a manufacturing environment preferably.

* HR certification highly preferred.

* Ability to stay flexible to accommodate changing priorities.

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and judgmental capability.

* Demonstrated proficiency working in a matrix team environment and multitasking.

* Demonstrated ability to develop work processes and establish standards.

Physical Requirements:

Work in manufacturing environment (walking ~30% and time at desk ~70%).

Shift Requirements:

Flexible with core hours between 07:00am and 04:00pm; may be required to work extended hours periodically.
