This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, IN foran Advanced Engineering Electrification ProductValidation Engineer. Cummins USA is where you can work on industryleading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introductionand Systems Product Validation.

Your impact willhappen in these and other ways:

* Applies specialized knowledge of engineering principles andpractices across various areas and projects in the design, development,analysis and release of products and subsystems through the product life cycle.Creates design specifications considering application, cost, weight,performance, product life, manufacture, assembly and service.

* Verifies designusing analysis and or functional testing, interprets results, drives decisionsand assesses risk.

* Works with other engineering disciplines andcross-functional disciplines to resolve product issues. Evaluates customerneeds and aligns requirements with identified customer expectations.

* Applies technical expertise on complex componentsor projects with minimal supervision.

* Leads small projects or portions of large projects.

* Provides technical direction for a project or aproject team.

* Participates as a key contributor and isaccountable for project success.

* Influences at department or program managementlevel.

* Provides input on program-related decisions.

* Proposes innovative initiatives and projects.

* Demonstrates depth of knowledge of engineeringdiscipline(s) and leverages expertise on other projects.

* Troubleshoots complex problems and recommendsappropriate actions.

* Assists with the transfer of knowledge; coachesand mentors less experienced engineers.

Skills and Experience Required:

* Intermediate level of relevant work experience required, such as responsibility for several components of a project or a complex component of a project.

* A minimum of 3 years of relevant electrification experience.

* Primary role responsibility will be the development ofelectrified powertrain verification & validation plans within advancedengineering; developing standards, processes, and tests to verify& validate electrified systems.

* In addition this role will support electrificationadvanced engineering projects as a product validation representative.

* Standardproduct validation function responsibilities listed below:

* Support the advanced engineeringprograms such that they efficiently transition to the receiving VPI program.

* Drive procurement of experimentaldata to support calibration of analytical models.

* Support thedevelopment/demonstration of new technologies via rigs, test cells and vehicledemonstrations.

* Improve the processes that Cumminsuses developing powertrains and the associated systems/components.

* Be a contributing innovator withinthe advanced engineering development process.

* Serve as a technical resource tosolve NUDs in VPI and advanced engineering

* Personally contribute in the spiritof a great place to work for all Product Validation Engineers and Associates.

RequiredEducation, Licenses or Certifications

College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree inEngineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.

Base salary ratecommensurate with experience.
