Major Duties and Responsibilities Benefits Supplemental Questions

Locates pipe sections to be videoed. Determines setup and confined space procedures. Assists in setting up cable stands over manholes. Assists in positioning camera in sewer line. Operates robotic camera equipment and records television footage, identifying pipe/structure defects in specialized software (Granite XP or equivalent). Downloads digital video data to CCG server. Confers with supervisor to discuss condition of sewer lines as shown in videos. Drives Hi-Cube (box-back) truck or cargo van to haul crew and equipment. Occasionally services, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to camera, equipment and attachments. Communicates with supervisor by radio or telephone. Gives direction to Stormwater Data Technician I in efficient and safe use of camera and equipment, work methods and safety precautions. Prepares daily reports listing lines videoed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of local stormwater ordinances and regulations. Knowledge of State Environmental Protection Division water regulations. Knowledge of computer programs related to: video capture and download, database input and manipulation, and GIS applications. Knowledge of the equipment and instrumentation used in water sampling. Skill in the use of personal computers and job related software programs. Skill in the collection of water samples and in the use of field and laboratory testing equipment. Ability to develop and maintain both written and electronic records. Ability to read blueprints, maps and construction drawings. Skill in problem solving and decision-making. Skill in oral and written communication.

Minimum Educational and Training Requirements:

High School Diploma or Specialized Related Training; one to two years of progressively responsible experience, or any combination of education, training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

The work is typically performed while sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, or crouching. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects and uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
